One of my brothers (10 years my junior) is always in bands. It’s just my luck that this time he’d end up in one called, “Flags of the Soviet Republic.” He also makes videos, and this time he’s made a video for his band using rotoscoping. I’m reliably informed that this took ages, drawing each animated frame by hand.
Obviously I’m biased, but I thought this was sufficiently cool to justify embedding as my weekend ‘can’t be arsed properly blogging’ post.

That was actually pretty good! Reminds me of some of the bands I used to know way back before I became a boring old sod (though I was never in with the whole Soviet thing…)
One question: does he use a Mac to do that?

Nope, Windows. You were going to say something?

I’m still waiting for the Mac Book to turn up. I think it got ordered from the US or something. Unbelievable.

Oh, nothing…
Just that, you know… maybe it wouldn’t have taken him quite so long to make if he had been…
If you order them online or over the phone they have a strange tendency to build you a computer to order and ship it from China, unless you go for a standard model and change absolutely nothing. They never used to, it’s only been like that for the past year or two. Annoying.
