The same line that they’ve been trotting out for about 5 years now:
Communities Secretary Hazel Blears has attacked the government’s “lamentable” failure to communicate.
… “reports” the BBC.
Yes Hazel, because the problem with your Government is that it’s doing a fantastic job but you’re failed to communicate what a fantastic job you’ve been doing.
Sheesh, then she explains what Labour need to do to win back the mob:
“We need to have a relationship with the voters based on shared instincts and emotions.
“We need to start showing we understand the instincts, fears, hopes and emotions of the broad mass of British people.”
What do any of those things have to do with good policy? And how is this any different to what you’ve been doing since 1996?
Your problem, Ms Blears, is that you’re convinced the problem is your inability to communicate, whereas your actual problem is that people are concentrating on what you’re doing rather than what you’re saying and finding your Government to be woefully lacking on most measures that count.
But, hey, continue to blame the voters for not understanding you, and let me know how you get on with that after the next General Election. Best of luck, chuck.
