It used to be that only the special needs kids wore clip-on ties. No longer! Turns out ties, as part of the school uniform, are being abused by children who use the variation that tying ties allows them to express some verboten individuality.

That’s not all. No Sir. Apparently we’ve only just begun to realise the terrible dangers of ties. You can be strangled! You could set it on fire with a bunsen burner!

No, Clip On Ties are the way forward. 10 schools a week are switching, apparently.

It goes to show how out of touch I am with education these days. There’s me thinking the most important issue is getting 100% of all children to highschool with the reading and writing skills required to follow the lessons. What do I know? Turns out the burning issue of the day is crushing any and all individuality and saving them from having to learn how to tie a tie properly.
