I suspect Brown will have to be dragged, clawing at the floor, from No10 by the men in white coats. Expect him to be heard muttering about “the precious” and “evil Toryiesies”.

Alternatively, maybe the Queen can have a word with the secret services….

Brown will have to step down if some other serious players in the cabinet (Johnson and Straw probably) say they will resign if he does not. He will then no doubt go into a major Heathite sulk for the rest of his life, but addressed at the whole conniving world and not just at one person.

Only way for Brown to go is if he steps down himself though, and I just don’t see him doing that no matter how bad things get. I don’t believe his pride will ever allow him to admit defeat.
