… nearly. Turns out there wasn’t much Lib Dem branding on this blog after all, although there’s a bit of graphics work still to do.
As of 10am, this blog will no longer appear on Lib Dem Blogs, will never again get a ‘Golden Dozen’ from Lib Dem Voice and I’m no longer in the running for Lib Dem Blog of the Year awards. I’m not sure when my membership of the party itself is due to expire but I’ll make the decision to renew when that time comes.
It’s a liberating feeling.
What I have no control over is where people list me in their blog-rolls. I suspect over time that one will fix itself – I’m not going to worry about it too much.

Hi Charlotte. I actually hope you dont leave the party but continue to blog unhindered. Being a member of a party should not stop you from having a go at them after all they dont pay us we pay them right! If Nick Clegg ever phoned me and told me to change something I would leave there and then,(wow what world am I living in)
Personally I think bloggers who are members of a party should feel free to criticises them (I know I do or just did with my EU referendum blog) . Its going to be interesting to see what happens to the Conservative bloggers if they win the election. I think their ratings will go down as its the side in power that gets the most stick.
Anyway I love your blog its the best, and I also think your liberal values are to be praised. Plenty have already left for the reason you gave, I still myself think there are enough liberal values to keep me in plus I do support some social values (bad I know) I think the plan was to spend on capital government projects not social security (for the most part) I hope they also still believe in small government which also means lower taxes.
Fact is of course all parties are too left and I fear may all move too far right to counter it. I fear for the Lib Dems I think many more could leave and then what alternative will there be to the big too. If Labour collapse then its a one party state effectively.
Good luck to LPUK and UKP maybe they can replace the current lot.
Oh and I would add that the Lib Dems are made up of not just Liberals but also Greens and quite a few others.

Well I used to work for Nick Clegg and occasionally dissented on my blog at the time and so I don’t think you need to worry about it.
